As usual, the Blender Studio team was present for the annual Blender Conference, in Amsterdam.

Rik and Hjalti looking at a demo reel - from all angles.

During those three days, we kept quite busy:

  • Simon presented his work not once, but twice! A talk on Procedural Oil Painting, and a workshop on why you should forget about Nodes.

  • Our trio of animators organized an Animation Critique Session which turned into a great community event, full of laughter and vulnerable moments.

  • Rik and Pablico also presented their work with Grease Pencil 3, along with its developer, Falk David.

On Friday, the whole team took turns to animate a Blender Studio booth. They presented their work from the past year as well as the upcoming brush painting tool developed during Project Gold's production.

Last but not least, everyone was present for the avant-première of Project Gold during the animation festival (Wednesday evening). What a treat to share this project with a live audience!

Thank you to everyone who came to meet the team or connect, and see you next year!

All the talks and presentations are available on YouTube on the Blender Channel.
