It's been two weeks since Blender Studio released its latest open game project, and what a wonderful reception did the project get!
With over 200K downloads, 40K players, over 1000 (overwhelmingly) positive reviews on Steam, we have been blown away by the feedback. Additionally, over 1000 people purchased the Supporter Pack, showing their support to the team.
DOGWALK is now featured in the Godot showcase, and it’s been played through and reviewed online several times.
During the project, the Blender Studio team has been sharing their progress through several production logs. Now that the project is complete, we are sharing the entire source (code and assets) of the game in a CC BY bundle along with the Blender files, and in-depth articles covering some of the technical aspects of the Blender + Godot workflow.
This project was made possible by the Blender Studio subscribers. By signing up, you are enabling a team of incredible artists and developers to work together to create and share games, short films, high quality characters, production tools, documentation, and more.
Next to that, Blender Studio artists work with the Blender daily builds, testing the latest experimental features (and be the first to face the latest bugs), giving feedback to the developers on usability and design, helping to push Blender's creative tools beyond their limits.
Join Blender studio, get access to almost 20 years worth of open content and production knowledge, and help us to make more. Thank you for playing!
