Yes you read that right, we got our first final renders coming in, and they look awesome.

Habemus train!

Francesco modeled the basic shape and mechanism (yes, it's rigged) for the train. train_model

Andy added some more details and shading. train_shading

And also made some pretty neat snow for closeups. train_model

Pablo setup this shot and even dared to use Cycles zoom motion blur, and it turned out just fine! Was afraid of the amount of samples needed but render.st handled it swiftly. 01_03_A

Check the video above to see the animation progress , but also go to the Reels folder to see the animatic (full of spoilers). In the weekly video above there's the rendered version of that shot as well. Would put it here but a simple gif wouldn't do justice!
